Key facts and figures to know as RG quarter-final action continues on Thursday.

1 –Alexander Zverev, facing the might of world No.1 Novak Djokovic on Court Philippe-Chatrier, is looking to reach his first major semi-final and become both the first German man to reach a Grand Slam semi-final since Tommy Haas at Wimbledon, and the first to reach the semi-finals at Roland-Garros since Michael Stich in 1996.

4 – Dominic Thiem, who tackles Karen Khachanov on Court Suzanne-Lenglen, will attempt to make it to a fourth consecutive semi-final at Roland-Garros, an achievement which would also put him joint-fourth on the men’s list for most consecutive last-four appearances in Paris in the Open Era.

10 – Khachanov, who will become a top-10 player for the first time next week, is on a 10-match winning streak in the city of Paris, having reeled off four victories at Roland-Garros following the six he won at the Rolex Paris Masters in Bercy last November.

12 – Simona Halep, who tackles the teenage US prodigy Amanda Anisimova on Court Philippe-Chatrier, is hoping to take a step closer towards becoming the first player to defend the women’s singles title at Roland-Garros since Justine Henin 12 years ago in 2007.

16 – Halep has, remarkably, broken serve in her last 16 consecutive return games at Roland-Garros, starting from her second round match against Magda Linette and continuing when Lesia Tsurenko and Iga Swiatek failed to hold their delivery against her.

17 – Teenager Anisimova is the youngest Roland-Garros women’s singles quarter-finalist since Nicole Vaidisova, who reached the semi-finals in 2006. The last 17-year-old to reach the last eight of any Grand Slam was Belinda Bencic in the 2014 US Open.

25 – The number of consecutive Grand Slam victories that Djokovic has recorded since losing at Roland-Garros to Marco Cecchinato in the quarter-finals here last year as he continues to home in on his second ‘Novak Slam’.

26 – The number of aces served by Ashleigh Barty at Roland-Garros en route to the quarter-finals, the most by any player left in the women’s tournament. Barty’s opponent, Madison Keys, has banged down 21 aces in what promises to be a big-serving battle on Court Suzanne-Lenglen.

44 – This will be Djokovic’s 44th Grand Slam quarter-final match, a figure only ever bettered in the Open era by Roger Federer’s 54.

45 – The number of minutes it took Halep to defeat Iga Swiatek in the fourth round, the shortest completed match of this year’s tournament.

118.7 – The fastest serve in miles per hour delivered by any woman at the tournament was fired down by Madison Keys in her second round match with Priscilla Hon.

2001 – Anisimova is the first player, man or woman, born after the turn of the century to reach the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam.
